SAE: I have a diversified SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) that ranges from Plant and Vegetable Production to Wildlife Management. This year I propogated and sold over 500 heirloom tomato plants. This helps me to raise my own personal funds while also letting me spread agricultural awareness in my community. Also, I will be working with my father on our vast 1,800 acres of hunting property planting food plots in strategic locations to maximize deer and turkey population in our area. The type of crops that we grow range from alfalfa, clover, and turnips.

Beach or Mountains? Mountains

Early bird or night owl? Early bird

Favorite meal: Spaghetti

Favorite song: Renegade, Styx & Daddy Sang Bass, Dailey and Vincent

Favorite CDE: My favorite CDE is the Extemporaneous Public Speaking competition. The reason for this is because I absolutely love to speak impromptu on agriculture issues and it helped me to broaden my knowledge of agriculture extensively. Also, it has helped me to be comfortable speaking in front of people. I am honored to be Tennessee's representative at National FFA convention this fall for this competition.

Favorite Ag Class: My favorite ag class would have to be honors greenhouse management. I absolutely love working in the greenhouse helping my advisor grow plants for our annual plant sale. I actually want to build a full scale greenhouse in my back yard! (Don't judge!)

Describe a time when you set a goal within the FFA and were not able to meet it; what did you learn? A little over a year ago, during my sophomore year of high school, I had my mind set on running for a regional office. However, a junior ahead of me had this same goal. In my chapter if we have more than one person interested, we have run-offs to determine who will be our candidiate for the event. After the run-off was over I was told that I was not the regional officer candidate for that year. Instead of letting this experience discourage me, I allowed it to encourage me! It encouraged me to work harder, and take on the leadership roles necessary to hold a regional office

What are you looking forward to most during your year as a Regional Officer? This year as a regional officer I am most looking forward to meeting and representing the middle Tennessee FFA members. Attending the various CDE's and working in the ROPE conference is going to be awesome too!!
